YouTube | Quick Tutorial I Can Only Hope

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guyzies, one thing that I know when it comes to
content creation is that when comes to YouTubing
it is not as easy.
I'm currently working on upgrading my software and last night when I tried to purchase
my card was not enabled for online banking in 2019 (I KNOW RIGHT)
I apologize in advance that the quality will still be sub-standard
for only April I promise.

Overall I'm happy with the content that I'm producing I know
it's a bit far off but your girl is being consistent.

Today I have a tutorial for you and I hope that you enjoy it
as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Beauty Event | Beauty Revolution 2019

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guyzies, hope all is well and okay.
The amount of pictures in this post are just ridiculous but I wanted for you to
see everything that I saw and did.

I first heard of Beauty Revolution (a beauty convention held in Sandton Convention Center  6th and 7th April ) event on radio, when one of
the event organizers was doing a radio interview on YFM
and I was like BeautyCon (A beauty convention held every year in the States and UK) is that you?
I then checked their site and Instagram pages for
more information and I saw their line up and I was like yeap.
This is it, this event I'm most definitely going to.

I kept an eye out on their Instagram page for specials and all.
Then they said if you are a Blogger, YouTuber, Instagramer you can
apply for a media pass which I did and I got it a week before the event.

I wanted to make sure that I arrived really early on the Saturday, because that is what I like
to do when I go to any event, you know just to take
pictures and stuff before everyone else gets there and that's what I did I'm sure
I arrived at like 9am and it was not that busy except for like the SwiitchBeauty stand (they were busy
throughout the whole day selling products #amazing)

When I tell you that the pictures that I took do not do justice to the set up that was there.
every brand that I mostly enjoy within the drugstore realm was there.
Their set up was just beautiful, and well thoughtout, my expectations
were meet and exceeded guys.

What I can maybe add for next years event is the following:

An announcer especially for masterclasses and main events on stage,
if there was one I did not see/hear it.
Can we also get the main stage at the convention center, so we can see all
the brands thoroughly and because as the day
went on  crowds grew and there was a bit of minimal space. (I'm sure even the brands themselves
would want to have some chairs within their display area so that they can have
a place were they can demo their products to their consumers)
More chairs at the main stage because the discussions/talks that were
there needed to be heard thoroughly as they were very engaging and I learned a lot.

Overall I'm really happy that we as the beauty community
have an event like this and oh oh oh the amount of influencers/bloggers/youtubers that
I met on the day was really awesome.
I will mention a few VONGAI, YOLZCHANNEL, SARA LANGA,
ILOVEMELMO, SANESH and my girl who
I was chilling with the whole day VANESSA.

Overall I was a very happy girl in make-up heaven.

See you soon

You Are Invited | An epic Easter Egg hunt!

Soweto, South Africa
No Easter is complete without an Easter egg hunt, right? But the one we have planned is going to be a tad more rewarding than finding a couple of chocolate treats…

Our digital Easter egg hunt will take place between 19 and 22 April and gives Theme Park visitors the chance to win a share of R70 000 in cash and prizes.

Guests simply need to download the Easter app on arrival, solve the nine clues, find and then photograph all the Easter eggs hidden in the Theme Park in order to complete the hunt.

The first 150 visitors that find all the eggs each day will receive a set of headphones valued at over R100. Those who do not make the first 150 spots will all receive a small token of appreciation for playing.

All participants will be entered into the draw for R10 000 in CASH, which will take place on Monday 22 April in Town Square at 16h30.

So get to Gold Reef City this Easter weekend and join the Big Dash for Easter Cash!

Major Announcement | Blogging FullTime

Hey guyzies, I have a major announcement and it has been long time coming.
I have been stuck doing the same job with different companies for over 10 years,
you see change was there however there was no progress.

In a life's moment where I made a decision not to follow through somethings in my 8 to 5
which now have lead me to this moment of taking sometime off to reflect and work on myself.

After my mom's death in 2014 a part of me died with her, my eagerness to push through in life
also took a step back, I began self medicating with food, staying in unhealthy relationships
(both work and personal)
which has been really bad for my health.

For a while I let my life go on auto pilot, being afraid to take any chances,
build new relationships and take care of myself.

You know that panic attack that I had in January, it was a wake-up call and I kept asking myself
what should I be waking up from and recently I found the answer
and it is that I need to start taking charge of my life
because no one else will. I'm a mom now and now more than ever
I need to see major progress in my life.

Blogging over the years, has been something that has been consistent in my life and I would like to
progress it more at this present moment, give it my all and let God do the rest.

I know that this post is everywhere however it is my aaaha moment.

If maybe you can leave a comment below and tell me what your aaaha moment was and if it was the best decision you have ever taken.

See you soon.

Revlon | You Deserve Great Lashes

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guyzies, I must say Revlon has been killing it when it comes
to product launches and making their products seen by
the masses lately and when a product is on a discount then it is even better.

Revlon is current running a promotion (for a limited time period)
and they have their mascara's on discount for R99.95
their normal retail price is normally R164.95

My favorites are the *Revlon Mega Multiplier (for my non existent short lashes) then
I go over it with the Super Length (to add a bit of length) because I have to add volume first
then add some length.

Check out the chart above and see where you belong because you
deserve some great lashes too.

Dischem is currently having their beauty fair, so some of them
will be even cheaper.

See you soon

Mommy Monday | This Time Last Year

Soweto, South Africa
Good morning guyzies, when some said time flies
I didn't know that they were actually referring to life itself.
This time last year I had to go in hospital for an elective induced labour
because the baby was passed her due date.

There were major complications on that day and
(I will talk about them when I'm ready).

Asanda is turning 12 months tomorrow I couldn't be more blessed
to have seen time itself in progress.

Thank you for choosing me to be your Mom.

Manicure Monday - We Still Good

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guyzies, OMG I don't remember the last time I did a proper manicure and lately I have
not been loving nailpolish as it cracks during the week and I don't  have time to
be re-applying it.
Then there is gel which would require me to take sometime off
(during a Saturday and Sunday to have it
applied and I just don't have the time). Yeap being a mom has taken soo much of my time and
I'm really still trying to adjust but it's soo hard to squeeze in some me time.

As I type this out on a Sunday my baby Asanda is having her afternoon nap and I thought I should add some content for Monday's post.
Anywho this post is just to say OMG press on's for me have been the IT,
I have been buying them at Clicks have been skeptical however they proved me wrong, especially the
short ones, don't sleep on them guys.

Anywho, here's to a great week.

Hair - 2 Year Natural Hair Update

Soweto, South Africa
December 2017
Hello Guyzies last week I shared with you that I’m on a healthy hair journey but I feel like we need to go back to the beginning so that I can track my progress with you.

I have to add that my hair could be sooo much longer but then I decided to bleach it 2 years back (June 2017 and I regretted it immediately) now that I look back on it was the pregnancy hormones getting the best of me, I didn’t even know I was pregnant at that time I think I was around 2 weeks 3 weeks into it. It’s been a struggle however I’m glad to say that most
of that fragile hair is now gone and I can focus on the healthy bits.
January 2019
Another thing that I was hoping wouldn't happen was post-partum shedding and thank goodness nothing huge came off, which I’m grateful.
So right now how I style my hair is in a Benny and Betty style wash/conditioner it every two weeks and apply my hair foods and oils.
This year I would really like to wear my hair out a lot and not depend on wigs.
I will be watching an lot of hair tutorial, and one blogger that I have been watching is
((Miriam Maulana (Beauty & Hair Vlogger)) and I toughly enjoy hair channel and how informative it is when it comes to detailed tutorials.

Overall I’m quite excited with my hair journey.
Please do tell me are you a natural hair girl or relaxed hair is the way for you. Do you have any channels that you would like to recommend for me to watch?

Thank you soo much for coming through.

Enjoy your day.

Review | Maybelline Super Stay 24H Full Coverage Foundation

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guyzies I hope your day went off on a great note.
I wanted to do a first impressions on the channel however I was so eager to use the foundation I went in hard on it in December and it has been a favorite since (oops gave out the verdict on my intro but let me tell you why I like it).

The claim:
Glides on for smooth, breathable wear (true)
Diminishes uneven skin tone (true)
Dermatologist tested—will not clog pores (not sure about the dermalogist part but the not clogging pores part is true)
Covers all day (eeem soo true)

The product:
Comes in a glass bottle (you know the company is serious about this one ((because most drugstore foundations that are this price usually don't hey)), has a pump which is great for hygienic purposes. I’m pretty happy with the overall packaging whoever the white cap does get dirty pretty quickly but can be cleaned easily with a wiper.

My experience:
I was a bit skeptical at first I don’t know why but when I swatched it at Dischem I knew that I am going to love it. It applied nicely and covered my under eye dark circles.  A little goes a long way and the fact that I got it for R129.99 during a sale I’m over the moon, normal retail price is R199.95 (LINK - SHOP HERE)
I’m pretty impressed with the foundation it comes in 28 shades
and you won’t regret your hard earned money here.

See me do my everyday makeup using the foundation: (YouTube Channel - Zanele Mondi)
If you have any foundation review requests,
please do not hesitate to mention them below.

See you soon.
