Selfcare Tips ft Revlon Pink Happiness CrushOnYou plus Giveaway

Hey guys, hope all is well and okay.
Today I'm sharing with you my thoughts on the REVLON Pink Happiness Crush on You fragrance,
I will also add some self care tips because even though we might not agree on it 2018 has been one of those challenging years
for me and doing a little bit of "me time" helped me alot.

The reason behind the fragrance:
There's a little space inside every woman where dreams of pure simple love can be found
- untainted by the pressure
of the adult world. Escape into this world and explore your romantic dreams. A world of unadulterated love - tinted with Pink Happiness.
The Claim:
A blend of warm, oriental scents, infused with a burst of sweet fruity notes
and a delicate touch of vanilla.
The fragrance has touches of grapefruit, blackcurrant and apricot which means its a very sweet fragrance but not over powering because of the oriental spices.

The product:
If you are familiar with REVLON's Pink Happiness First Love, Pink Happiness Crush on You is the older more mature sister, who has had her heart broken, some goals not achieved and is not going to give up and is learning to take care of herself and
learning to put herself first; and choosing to love yourself isn't vanity, it's sanity.
My top 5 Self-Care Tips:

De-cluttering: Nothing gives me more joy than a clean easy to work on area.
Masking and Chilling: Whether I wear a 3 minute or 30 minute mask I like taking a few minutes off just sitting and being quite and just reflect.
Planning:Lately planning my day or weekly posts for the blog has done wonders for me because I can be more focused the daily tasks that need to be done first.
Chilling or Eating out: Aaah the sweetness of doing nothing, sometimes as women we tend to be guilty when we take time off but going out with friends and family does bring a little happiness because we take a little break from routine daily tasks like cooking and cleaning
Spending time with kiddio: Spending real time with my baby other than focusing on a million things like laundry, cellphone and other million things we do around the house.
Love yourself first and everything else falls into place. Who better to Crush on that yourself?
Please let me know what being #BeYourOwnObsession means to you and how to you
practice self-care.

Please share with me, what does self-care means to you?

Cadbury Festive (Giveaway) - How to Decorate Your Christmas Table on a Budget

Hey guys hope all is well and okay, if you have been following the blog for a while you will know how much I love Christmas and all things festive, this year it is not going to change.
I have teamed up with Cadbury SA to share with you tips on how to set up a Christmas Table on a budget (stay tuned for giveaway details below).

While spending more money during the festive season is the norm, I like to save where I can and use items available around the house and if they are not available I like using items that can be found at discount stores.
My theme for this Christmas is gold and more gold and the pictures in this post are just a hint of what is coming. I like using a traditional white dinner set, simple cutlery, everyday glasses, Christmas décor from the previous years and this year I’m incorporating the Cadbury Chocolate Treat size as part of my main treat in my table as this will give my family something to nibble on while we wait for the leg of lamb to finish roasting.

The Cadbury Baubles each contain 7 mini treats and there are 4 of them to collect, which I must say the Cadbury Christmas Tree and Baubles make for a nice decorative piece on my Christmas Table.

GIVEAWAY TIME!!!
Win A Cadbury Festive Range Hamper:
1x Cadbury Whispers slab
1x Whispers Snowballs
2x Cadbury Baubles – with 7x treat size (Flake, Bubbly, Cadbury Dairy Milk and Top Deck) inside each Bauble

Bramley Cosmetics | First Impressions Post

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guys, welcome back to my blog I'm so happy with my progress this week.
I'm actually uploading.... Sooo happy.

So remember a while back when I shared a NEW IN post from Bramley Cosmetics (HERE)
and I wanted to do a first impressions on them, well I finally did 1st week September I filmed
a video and ooh boy the results shook me

WATCH HERE:

Sooo Update:
UPDATE:
I promised on the video that I will be doing a follow up on the Toner because I was
reacting too it, mostly my eyes because I have very sensitive eyes.
For an alcohol based toner I'm also shook that it did not dry my skin out however
I don't think I will be gravitating towards it unless I have major pimples that need to clear
in a short space of time.

If you are long for very affordable products I do recommend them.

See you soon.

REVIEW | POND’S Flawless Radiance Range

Soweto, South Africa

Hey guys, hopefully you have been well and okay.
Today I bring to you a review of the POND'S Flawless Radiance DermaSpa Review, that I received from Beauty Bulletin a few weeks back.

Firstly I would like to apologise to Beauty Bulletin for not reviewing the products on the set dates as I know how important it is to get the work out on new launches
hopefully I am forgiven.

Secondly a big congratulations to fellow Blogger Melody Molale for scoring such a huge campaign on being the Face of range and girl we are proud of you the AD's be popping up everywhere
including out TV screens.

Lastly I have uploaded a quick demo on the YOUTUBE Channel hopefully you also check how I use the range, please make sure that you have subscribed.

The Claim:
POND’S Flawless Radiance Derma+ Hydrating Day Gel SPF 15
works with the skin’s natural processes to re-energise skin cells, while providing lightweight moisture and protecting the skin with an SPF 15.
It targets the skin’s deepest layers, and is clinically proven to lighten dark spots within 7 days. Use in the morning as part of a daily regime.

POND’S Flawless Radiance Derma+ Brightening Micellar Water
The POND’S Flawless Radiance Derma+ Brightening Micellar Water gently and effectively cleanses your skin, preparing it for the active ingredients
in your treatment products. Use twice daily and follow with your preferred POND’S Flawless Radiance Derma+ treatment and moisturiser.

POND’S Flawless Radiance Derma+ Perfecting Serum
has been formulated with the DermPerfect™ Complex, a blend of six potent ingredients including the powerful bio-actives Vitamin B3 and Hexyl Resorcinol.
The serum targets the skin’s deepest layers, and is clinically proven to
lighten dark spots within 7 days.

POND’S Flawless Radiance Derma+ Night Cream
most advanced technology to date, DermPerfect™ Complex. This contains six potent ingredients - including two powerful bio-actives Vitamin B3 and Hexyl Resorcinol.
The Derma+ Night Cream works while you sleep, targeting the skin’s deepest layers to lighten dark spots. Use in the evening as part of a daily regime.
My Experience:
Hydrating Day Gel SPF 15 I have dry skin for dayzzzzzzz and when I saw the gel I could tell that my skin would like it. The gel does make my skin feel hydrated however during the day I feel like it does need re-applying ( I told you guys that I have dry skin), maybe now since it is spring/summer my skin will adjust to the product better.

Brightening Micellar Water this one is perfectly made for my sensitive eyes, because I have dry skin I though that after removing my make-up my skin would feel dry it doesn't at all.
The part I haven't figured out yet is the re-brightening part however my skin still looks good though.

Perfecting Serum  if there was ever a product that I could repurchase time and time
again this would be the one.
Together with the hydrating gel they go hand-in-hand which is awesome.
The only boring part on this one is that the packaging is not transparent so
I couldn't tell when the bottle finishes.

Night Cream this one is usually neglected in my night time routine and on night that I do use the product in the morning my skin does feel refreshing and I will continue to use it
 and include in my routine.

Prices:
• POND’S Flawless Radiance Derma+ Moisturising Day Cream SPF 30 PA+++ (RSP 119,99)

Almay First Impressions | Yay or Nay

Hey guys welcome back to the blog.
Today I have another great upload for you, I test out the newly re-branded Almay.
The video was filmed 1st week September however I never got around to posting it.
This weekend I had an option to re-film my first impressions, however I just wanted
the first one to be as is (I hope you like that).

Products Mentioned:
- Almay Best Blend Forever™ Makeup
- Almay Smart Shade Skintone Matching™ Concealer
- Almay™ Pressed Powder
- Almay Palette Pops™ Eyeshadow Naturalista – Neutral Shades
- Almay Liquid Lash Extenders™ Mascara
- Almay Goddess Gloss™

SHOP : HERE

My Experience:
At first I don't want to lie, I was a bit skeptical Almay products haven't been that
exciting the only product I gravitate towards is their eyeshadow trio set which I have been using for the longest time.

I really like the new look and theme #RevealTheTrueYou
"Hypoallergenic. Fragrance free. Sensitive. Our products are designed with all skin types in mind".
Speaking to skin types the issue of shade ranges was raised and Almay says:
"We’re going wide. In the next few years, we’re looking to expand shades, embrace change and empower self-expression in every stroke".
I'm happy that they have acknowledged that they are lacking in the shade range of things.

My Verdict:
If you are looking for make-up that is Hypoallergenic and have sensitive eyes like mine,
you will love this range.

I would love to do a breakdown of all products in a later stage in forms of a review, but for now
enjoy my first impressions.

See you soon.

Natural Hair Non Wash Day Routine

Soweto, South Africa

Hey guys, welcome back to my blog.
Hope everyone has been keeping well and okay I really cannot believe that
I have not relaxed my hair in 2 years.
Not relaxing my hair has been the best decision I have ever made, my hairline is
back I just wish that I didn't
bleach it last year June (I blame it on the pregnancy hormones though).

When I did my big chop I followed a lot of blogs and watched a lot of YouTube Channels and all I can say is everyone's hair is different,
what might work on someone else might not work for you do a lot of research.

Ever since I had my baby I have been stressing on this "postpartum shedding thing" and really there is nothing no one can do about it, hair will shed
that is just the natural process of life, I also feel we can control how much it sheds though.

For example my hair is best kept when I have the benny and betty style (minimum shedding and quick and easy to maintain)
Then I went on to do box braids (worst mistake), because I didn't know that my hair would tangle and shed in bulk loads when I took them out.
No amount of part products could have saved this one because I left them on for too long.

I'm babbling.....

Get to the point......please.
So lately I have been doing the following which my hair has been loving, wash my hair once every two or three weeks (yes I said three weeks)
but in between every 6 to 7 days I would untie my hair, first by (spraying Long & Lasting Activator Spray) just to make my
detangling process a bit quicker and better plus the spray is affordable and moisturizing, after untying my hair I would go in with my hair foods
Long & Lasting Triple Oil Rescue and Excel-E Nourisher just to add more softening and nourishing products especially in between the parts that don't usually get products
.(You can use any spray or hair foods of your choice here I'm sharing the Long & Lasting products because they are working for me).

I will do a more in-depth 2 year natural hair journey soon, however I'm glad I did this post it has been on my mind for a while.

Hope you enjoyed today's post.

See You Soon.

Dr. Beyers Naude High School wins the 10th Investec Soccer League final

Soweto, South Africa
On the 10th anniversary of the Investec Soccer League (ISL) Dr. Beyers Naude High School beat Lavela Secondary School to win the league, as first-time champions and worthy recipients of the special 10-year anniversary R250 000 grand prize.

The final took place at the Nike Football Stadium in Soweto on Saturday 15 September 2018. Neither school had ever reached the finals of the ISL, so the pressure was intense. The match went to penalties after concluding in a draw, with Dr Beyers Naude High School winning 5-4.

Ms Victoria Matshiqi, Principal of Dr. Beyers Naude High School, who watched the team claim victory, said she was overwhelmed by the reaction of the boys when they realised they had won. “The whole team was jumping up and down with excitement and ran over to me for a group hug, almost knocking me over! They were singing and dancing – it made me very happy!” The school celebrated the team’s win with a special assembly where representatives from the SGB and Department of Education presented the players with their medals, while their fellow learners cheered them on.

Coach Andile Msomi, who coached his first season at Dr Beyers Naude High School this year, is immensely proud of the players. “The whole team worked very hard to get to the semi-finals and then the finals. All of my players could be professionals one day, because they are so dedicated to the sport. We look forward to defending our title in 2019!” said Msomi.
Hard work paid off for Lavela Secondary School, Lamula Secondary School and Sebetsa Secondary School, the other teams that qualified for the semi-finals. Their schools all received prize money ranging from R50 000 to R120 000 as a result of their achievements.

Now that the games are over, Investec will enter into an important process of engaging with each winning school so as to jointly determine best use of the prize money. The aim of this process will be to ensure maximum benefit for the schools and their learners.

“It has been such a privilege to see the success of the Investec Soccer League over the years, and the way it has helped young people,” said Setlogane Manchidi, Head of CSI for Investec.
“This programme is about development through sports, not just sports development. We’re happy to see the players pick up skills that will help them throughout life.”

The ISL is fully endorsed by the Gauteng Department of Education and involves 20 high schools from across Soweto, benefiting 360 learners under the age of 21, in grades 8 to 12. The ISL is geared towards developing football talent, but also encourages teamwork, and imparting life skills. The league also fosters positive competitiveness as well as discipline, focus, tenacity and drive – all of which can help players in their respective careers.

NEW IN | JUSTINE TISSUE OIL GOLD

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guys, hope that all is well and okay.
Seems like I'm playing catch-up with a lot of posts these days on the blog.

Well today's post will be focusing on another tissue oil
from *Justine | Tissue Oil Gold the much more expensive version
of the normal Justine Tissue Oil.

I have added this to my tissue oil collection and will be trying it out also.
So here is the claim:
Fades dark spots in 28 days
Reduces the appearance of both new and old scars.
Improves skin clarity, firmness and even skin tone.

With all these claims I can't wait to try it.

How to use:
For new and old scars: Massage into affected area two or three times daily.
For even tone: Apply liberally over face and body every morning.
For sun protection: Apply liberally and evenly 15 to 30 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply every hour
especially after swimming and towel drying.

NEW IN | BAOCARE TISSUE OIL

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guys, hope all has been well and okay.
The week has been going really slow, but I'm glad we made it to Friday.

Today I introduce to you a new brand on the blog and it is called BaoCare.
Who are they you ask, I have taken the following extract directly from the press-pack that I received from them so I don't mess up the wording:
Inspired by the abundant riches that come from the baobab, EcoProducts has created
BaoCare™, a100% pure and natural skin healing range using the rare baobab oil as its
foundational hero ingredient. Baobab oil is a rich amber-gold oil cold-pressed from the small
brown seeds found within the fruit pod of the baobab tree.

What drew me to this product?
Well because it's a tissue oil and you know me and tissue oils LOL, secondly it's because they also claim to tackle the issues that I'm dealing with which are extreme dryness and stretchmarks and thirdly the Baobab found in their ingredients is locally sourced
so why would I say no to that.

What's their claim:
BaoCare Tissue Oil rapidly absorbed, baobab oil is clinically proven to hydrate and moisturise.
Enriched with Vitamin E, this formulation is a nourishing oil for dry skin, scars and stretch marks.

How To Use:
Apply twice daily to affected areas.

How Much:
The 50ml bottle is R159.00 abd the 10ml is R40.00

Where Can You Get It:
All good independent health shops, Wellness Warehouse and online.
Faithful To Naturewww.faithful-to-nature.co.za
Baocare Online Shop: https://www.baocare.co.za/shop/

The BaoCare range is extensive and comes in 5 ranges.
BaoCare 100% Baobab Oil, Radience, Acne Skincare, Tissue Oil, Eczema Skincare.

With the rate I'm going with all the tissue oils I'm using I better be melanin popping this Summer!!!

NEW IN | AFRICAN EXTRACT TISSUE OIL

Soweto, South Africa
I'm into tissue oils and everything else that claims to reduce dryness and stretchmarks these days.
So I'm about to try out the *African Extracts Tissue Oil.

Lets see what the claim is:
This Tissue Oil contains a blend of sweet almond, grape sweet and geranium oils, Bio-Active Rooibos extract and vitamin E, known
for its powerful antioxidant properties. It helps to improve the apperance of scarring, dry and dehydrated skin, skin under stress due to weight gain or weight loss,
dry, britle nails and cuticles, lifeless hair and dry scalp.

Are you for real, I can use this tissue oil on my nails and scalp, that's a first for me.
I think I'm going to love this oil.
With all these claims I can't wait to try it out.

REVIEW | AVON LUCK FOR HER

Soweto, South Africa
There is just something about a limited edition item I just can't help but get and the
Avon *LUCK for her is just one of them.

I'm really not sure when will the last day of production be,
but since it's a limited edition I'm sure it won't be in-stock for long.
I'm sure if you have been following or a fan of the LUCK range of perfumes then you will know that this packaging is very different from the previous
LUCK perfumes, I don't know I kinda prefer the old packaging with the golden-bow tie on the lid.

The AVON LUCK FOR HER 30ml Parfum Spray R250 is described as sweet with a sparkling citrus and fuscious berries blended with
creamy white florals and warm sandalwood.

I love sweet fragrances and if you also love them then this one is a must for your collection.

New In | Justine Perfecting Range

On my last Justine (must post) I touched base on how I used to only use the sunlight green soap for washing my face, but those days are gone.
I'm nolonger 19 years old and I'm now choosing to have a great skincare routine.

I feel like a proper skincare routine is always a process,
one day this product is great the next it is not.
Or once the problem of e.g. acne has been tackled then you go one to look for something that will clear the scaring, such a HEADACHE.
I have normal to dry skin and in Winter my skin gets extra dry and I'm always on a search for products that will give me moisture and tackle blemishes.

This post is really not a review, rather a product on trial that
I will be including in my skincare routine that
that will hopefully tackle my concerns.

I'm currently trying out products from Justine from their Perfecting Range that claim
to tackle an uneven skin tone.
I'm truly excited about is their Dark Spot Corrector because
it looks like it was made for my blemishes.

Justine Perfecting Gel Cleanser
Justine Perfecting Day Cream SPF25

A detailed post reviewing the products will be done at a later stage.

See you soon.

Mommy Monday | Baby Powders vs Baby Bum Creams

Soweto, South Africa
Aaah the old-age question, powders vs bum creams.
I have become so obsessed with everything that my baby touches and comes across, must be that motherly instinct they talk about.

Changing diapers also comes with being motherly, one advice I got from my sister was to make sure that the baby does not get any diaper rash, or ngizozwa (hell will break loose).
While changing her diaper the other day I was like, mmmh what's the difference between powder and cream, ooh boy! Google gave me asnswers alright.

I always gravitate towards the cream (mainly because I have big boobs and during summer the underboo area sometimes gets irritated used to use baby powder
but it was just not effective as a soothing cream, I know right one would think that powders are more effective than creams) with that TMI let's get back to the talk.

So back to creams and powders, for me I will always be a cream person but
I don't have a problem with powders.
Maybe at a later stage I will start using powders but for now bum creams win.

Some tips on bum creams.
Always apply on clean dry skin.
Apply in the whole nappy area.
Use after every nappy change (so as to avoid the nappy rash).

Everyone does this parenting thing very different to the next
and I hope that you enjoyed my talk, as I didn't want to include all
the speculations on powders vs creams because it can go on and on.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

See you soon.

June In Review

Soweto, South Africa
Winter is here and it is just getting colder and colder.
The fact that my maternity leave is also coming to an end later this month is also just killing me.
I just want to make the most of the two weeks that I still got at home you know, create some real good content for the blog, bond even more with my family and spend even more time with my baby.
Why can't I just win the Lotto and stay at home, lol.

June for the blog will hopefully be still filled with posts.
However I still keep on procrastinating starting that weightloss journey hey.
With only 5 months left till December I need to start losing weight because I wanna take cute pics at the beach this year you know.
Is that too much to ask for?!, to add on that stress my work clothes nolonger fit, I'm just a mess.

All I ask is,
June please be good to us.

Please stay tuned for more posts.
